Great Stay! May , 2017
Nancy did an excellent job accommodating my wife’s gluten -free dietary restriction due to celiac disease.
Above and Beyond /May 2017
Such a pleasant experience! Given that it was our first time staying at a B&B, we weren’t sure what to expect. Nancy went above and beyond and her sincere hospitality left nothing to be desired. Breakfast was amazing and creative and the accommodations, perfect! A huge thank you for such a wonderful experience!
So Peaceful / July 2017
Thank you so much for a wonderful visit! You have a beautiful place. We so enjoyed hanging out on your porch when we arrived–so peaceful. Justine also loved your swing! The breakfast was fabulous! We hope to see you again!
Best B&B Ever / November 15, 2017
Having traveled all over the world, This old manor was truly a authenic look into a bye gone time in American history. Everything was original to include the door handles and locks. Nancy and Jay were truly the most accommodating hosts we ever encountered. Great place to visit.
Exceptional in all respects!!!! / May 10, 2017
Absolutely a wonderful experience in every respect. Breakfast was out of this world, the hosts extremely high quality genuine individuals. We were very sorry to leave and will make this an annual destination and visit.

Spacious and Comfortable / November 26, 2017
Nancy provided a wonderful stay during a business trip to Huntingdon County. I stayed in the twin room which was spacious and comfortable. Electrical upgrades and wifi allowed me to work in the evening and the heat was comfortable in the cooler weather. The bathroom down the hall was renovated nicely and was also very spacious. I especially enjoyed perusing the local artisans gifts and wares in the downstairs rooms and Nancy’s tasty and healthy breakfast. I would love to return on a leisure stay to enjoy more of the hearth baked bread that is baked on her property and explore the neat small towns surrounding McBurney Manor.
What a great place! / November 06, 2015
We had a absolutely wonderful 3 day stay at the Manor in October. What a beautiful and charming place. The Yoders did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable. McAlevy’s Fort is a charming little community, an experience all it’s own. Nancy’s breakfast was all you would expect from a top-notch B&B. We will deffinately return on our next trip upstate.
Wow! / September 20, 2014
A friend ans I went to have a time to relax and refresh. That is exactly what we got. The Yoder’s treated us like royality. It is in a beautiful area away from the city and the rush of life. We enjoyed it all. Thank you Nancy and Jay!
Look for the black shoes / July 08, 2011
Nancy and Jay were AWESOME!!! We were semi lost and Nancy was more than happy to meet us and drive to the location. Breakfast was made to our specific requests and it was very good. Exceeded our expectations. I would stay there again and would recommend this B&B
A little gem / September 2011
Jay and Nancy were spectacular.. this gem of a bed and breakfast is so close to Penn State that it makes it seems like a home away from home for us out of state parents. We arrived fairly late but Nancy waited for us, instructions were easy to follow ( a straight 20 minutes from college park) and waking up in the beautiful country was a ++. No more sterile hotel for us. The mattress was so good! we will return very soon. thank you Nancy!
